Red Poker-like flower clusters. Commonly called Torch lily. Plants grow in large clumps with dagger-like leaves. Unusual shaped flower heads of orange, red and yellow are quite exotic looking in the summer garden.

After all danger of frost, sow in open ground well exposed. Cover with 1/4 inch soil. For earlier bloom, start indoors in flats about 4 weeks before last frost. Cover with 1/4 inch soil. When plants are 3 inches high, thin or transplant.

Plant in bold clumps by themselves or in borders with other flowers. Makes a nice addition to bouquets.
