In today’s world, more and more teens are outspoken in their beliefs on politics, social and environmental issues and even their religion. While some teens may be uncomfortable or afraid to share their religious beliefs, more and more are embracing their faith and spreading God’s message in the clothing they wear.
We’re not talking about t-shirts which some call “Jesus shirts,” we’re talking about stylish, hip looking shirts featuring inspirational verses such as “Have Faith, No Fear” and “Trust Hope Glory.”
During a recent trip to the mall, I ran into a 17 year old male wearing a Christian t-shirt. I complemented him on it and he said, “I’m glad you noticed it. A lot of people lack faith in God, but it’s what I live by and my faith helps guide all decisions I make. If the words on my shirt help one person see that God is great, I’m happy.”
I remember walking away thinking what a courageous young man this person was. Many teens may be passionate about a certain issue or belief but are afraid to express them, but here is one who is a devout Christian with no qualms about “wearing his faith.”
I did a quick Internet search for Christian T-Shirts and was surprised that these shirts were nothing like I was expecting. Some have the grunge style that is wildly popular while others are more subtle with a designer type flair. If you’re looking for a Christian t-shirt, you’re definitely going to find a style that is just right for you.
