As a youngster, all I ever wanted was a candy apple red Corvette.
That’s not too much to ask for, is it?
While I never got car of my dreams for my 16th birthday, it remained on my “most wanted” list. That and a date with Jennifer Aniston.
I worked day in and day out saving for my Vette until I finally had enough to head down to the Chevrolet dealer and sit behind the wheel as the engine roared and the paperwork for my new ride was drawn up.
After signing on the dotted line, the salesman handed over the keys and the little red Corvette was mine. I drove it home prouder than a new father of triplets making enough noise so the neighbors would come out and stare at the hottest car on the block.
Like that new father, I made a commitment to take care of my “baby.” One of the first things I invested in, besides a pair of fuzzy dice, was a quality Corvette C6 Car Cover. I bought one that was specially designed to fit my C6 just right.
Since I don’t have a garage, I wanted a cover that would protect my Corvette and keep it clean in between washings. My waterproof cover with a flannel lining has become my Vette’s best friend – and mine too. It only takes me a couple seconds to take on and off and knowing that I’m protecting my investment from sap, the weather and anything else that can get thrown at it, makes me very happy.
Owing a Corvette is something we all dream of. Having it in your driveway is a dream come true and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep my ride shiny and safe!
